Orchardside Yarn Shop is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, halfway between Staunton and Lexington, in Raphine. Orchardside is 4 miles from I-81 / 64. Take Exit 205 (Raphine / Steeles Tavern) and go West 4 miles on VA Route 606 (Raphine Road). Look for our sign just past Wades Mill.
We are only ten minutes from the historic farm where Cyrus Hall McCormick invented the reaper and 45 minutes from Charlottesville. Our neighbors include : Wades Mill, a restored, working gristmill which is a historic landmark and has a charming well stocked Cook’s Corner and interesting pottery & Baskets; Rockbridge Vineyards, a winery with tasting tours of the delicious wines which have won state and national awards.
